WordPress Plugin Update

The last week we spent on updating the Nuevo plugin for WordPress. This is pretty big update, with a number of new options for the nuevo shortcode.

But first update concerns nuevo WordPress plugin installation. For some PHP versions the plugin activation could be not complete, making the plugin useless. Now this was fixed and plugin settings section is fully functional.

We have added support for a number of new parameters available to use within the nuevo shortcode.

• now you can add liveui parameter for the live DVR streaming
• you can assign custom VAST Tag URL for each single video, regardless of VAST tags from nuevo plugin settings.
• you can add resume parameter to start video from the time it was left.,
• you can use starttime parameter to start video playback from a given time position.
• you can use chapters List feature to show chapters items in a separate list, each with thumnail, title and timestamp.
• you can decide to show captions/subtitles from the settings menu and use CC button to switch on/off captions/subtitles.
• you can set watch limit (image or message).
• you can add float parameter to minimize the player when the website page is scrolled outside of the player element.
• you can add horizontal news ticker to scroll at the bottom or the top of the player.
• you can setup skip intro button.

The blog was recently updated to WordPress version 6.9.1, Nuevo player 14.1.0 and Video.js 8.23.4.
